ShopScrape is a Chrome browser extension that extracts publicly visible product data from e-commerce websites. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
ShopScrape does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identifiers through the extension. We do not track your browsing history or the websites you visit. We do not send any data to external servers. All scraped product data stays entirely in your local browser storage and is never transmitted anywhere.
ShopScrape operates entirely within your browser. When you click "Scrape This Page," the extension reads publicly visible product information (names, prices, images, ratings, URLs) from the current webpage. This data is displayed in the extension popup and stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage API. No data leaves your device.
activeTab — Allows the extension to read content from the currently active tab when you click the extension icon. Used to extract product data from shopping pages.
scripting — Allows the extension to inject the content script that reads product data from web pages.
storage — Used to save your scraping history, usage counts, and Pro license key locally in your browser.
downloads — Allows the extension to save exported CSV and JSON files to your computer when you choose to export data.
If you purchase ShopScrape Pro, your license key is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. The key is validated offline within the extension. No license verification requests are sent to external servers.
ShopScrape does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use cookies. We do not display advertisements.
We do not sell, trade, or share any user data with third parties. There is no data to share because we do not collect any.
ShopScrape does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13 years of age.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
